What could be a better place to observe the Sign than at the famous Griffith Park Observatory? Perched atop a high hillside overlooking all of Los Angeles, there are few more spectacular views to be found in the city.
While you are there, take a tour of the newly renovated and updated Observatory (always free, though there may be a line) and explore some of the nearby walking trails that wind around the hills.
Within the Park (the largest municipal park in the U.S.), you'll also find horseback riding, playgrounds, the Los Angeles Zoo, and plenty of scenic nature to provide the perfect antidote to the city.

Free parking can be found in the Observatory parking lot or on adjacent roads. |
