Over the years, the Hollywood Sign has been the subject of numerous television profiles that outline its lively history, show the role of the Trust in preserving and protecting the landmark, and highlight its unique place in American entertainment life.

On the lighter side, this coverage also incidentally demonstrates the difficulty of getting physically to the Sign itself, even for authorized personnel. 	ABC TV Los Angeles Eyewitness News Watch as intrepid ABC-TV Eyewitness News reporter George Pennacchio takes an up close and personal tour of the Sign with Trustee Chris Baumgart. ABC helicopters were on hand to document his difficult hand over hand rope journey down the side of Mt. Lee to the Sign. This piece shows in detail some of the security features of the Sign, including its infrared camera feeds to the LA City police force.
